SRJ Group Oy’s approach to sustainability is based on everyday actions, operational reliability, and long-term business development. In transport services, sustainability primarily means safety, reliability, and effective management of environmental impacts. We operate in the tourism and service sector in Northern Finland, where demanding conditions, seasonality, and high customer quality expectations require systematic and sustainable operations.
Environmental sustainability is particularly reflected in fleet management and driving practices. Our fleet consists of approximately 54 vehicles, the majority of which meet the Euro 6 standard. We systematically monitor driving behavior and fuel consumption, which has led to a significant reduction in idling and unnecessary fuel use. Vehicles are maintained proactively and renewed based on lifecycle principles, supporting low-emission and operationally reliable transport.
Social sustainability is evident in staff competence, safety, and equal service provision. Our drivers receive regular training, and all taxi drivers have completed special needs group training. We operate accessible vehicles that enable safe travel for passengers with reduced mobility. Safety is a core part of daily operations and is integrated into both fleet standards and staff guidelines.
Economic sustainability means profitable and transparent business operations that support local vitality. We work closely with travel agencies, hotels, and other local partners, and we provide regional employment. We continuously develop our sustainability practices in line with the Sustainable Travel Finland program. We have also been awarded the Biosphere sustainability certification.
